Claim Defend Advocacy provides general educational information about insurance claims. We are not a law firm or a public adjusting firm, and we do not review or handle individual claims. Please do not send us claim details, medical details, policy numbers, or other sensitive information.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us. If you sign up for our email list or request a free guide or checklist (including our HOA ebook), we collect the email address you enter, and any other details the form asks for, such as your first name and, if you choose to give it, your mobile phone number. If you email us, we collect your email address and the contents of your message.
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our website and its service providers may collect your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit, using cookies and similar technologies.
  • Comments. If you leave a comment on our blog, we collect the name, email address, and website you enter, along with your IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam. Your name and comment will be visible to the public. Please do not post claim details in comments.
  • Purchases. If you buy a guide, the checkout is handled by our payment and store provider. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

How we use information

  • To send the guide, checklist, or ebook you requested and to deliver our email updates.
  • To respond to your questions.
  • If you opt in to text messages, to text you about the guide or checklist you requested and related education from us.
  • To operate, secure, and improve our website, and to understand which content is useful.
  • To prevent spam and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

We send marketing email only to people who signed up. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also email info@claimdefendadvocacy.com to be removed.

Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile phone number and check the box to agree, you consent to receive text messages from Claim Defend Advocacy about the guide or checklist you requested and related educational updates. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase or of receiving a free guide.

  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt out any time. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for help, or email info@claimdefendadvocacy.com.
  • No sharing of opt-in data. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your text-message opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share it only with the service providers that deliver our messages for us (for example, our messaging platform, HighLevel, and the mobile carriers), who may use it only to provide those services.
  • Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and send email, who may use it only to provide their services to us. These include our website host (WordPress.com / Automattic), our email and customer-management platform (HighLevel), our store and payment provider (Gumroad), and analytics and security tools (for example Jetpack and Google Site Kit). We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, or others. If our business is sold or merged, information may be transferred to the new owner.

Cookies and analytics

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies for site functions, security, and analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as expected. Embedded content from other sites (such as videos) may set its own cookies and collect data under that site’s privacy policy.

How long we keep information

We keep email-list and text-message information until you unsubscribe, reply STOP, or ask us to delete it. We keep comments and their metadata until we delete the post or you ask us to remove them. We may keep some records longer where needed for legal, security, or administrative reasons.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and stop texts at any time by replying STOP. You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, by emailing info@claimdefendadvocacy.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
